At Orbis Outdoor Adventures, we believe every young person should have the chance to take part in the Duke of Edinburghʼs Award. Our Specialist DofE Services are designed to support children and young people with autism and other additional needs, helping them complete their DofE in a way that works for them.
We know that a typical DofE programme doesnʼt suit everyone. Thatʼs why we take a flexible, calm, and supportive approach thatʼs built around the individual needs of each group. Whether your group is starting their Bronze Award or moving on to Silver or Gold, weʼll help plan and deliver a DofE experience thatʼs enjoyable, manageable, and rewarding.
Our friendly and experienced team understands how to support participants with a wide range of additional needs. We focus on clear communication, low-pressure environments, and simple, structured activities as part of their expedition module.
Young people can take part in outdoor activities like canoeing, walking, setting up camp, map reading, and cooking – all at a pace that suits them. Everything is planned with care, making sure each participant feels included, safe, and supported throughout.
We work closely with schools, parents, carers, and support staA to make sure the programme is a good fit.
